Volunteer as a translator for Africa - but never leave home


The Global Greens Coordination (GGC) is now organising the third Global Green Congress in Dakar, Senegal from March 28th to April 1st 2012. We are looking for volunteer translators from English to French and Spanish.

The ideal candidate would work for an average of four hours a week, starting as soon as possible until the end of the Congress. They would have a previous knowledge of WordPress, or learn how to use it, and would translate  the content the team of Global Greens uploads on the website into French or Spanish

It is an opportunity to contribute to an event which has on its agenda crucial themes for the future of the planet and of Green Parties all over the world. Global Greens Congresses attract people from different cultures and languages, but who are committed to common political values and ideas. Dakar 2012 also demonstrates that Greens are supporting Africa and pushing for real democracy in that continent.

The position is on a voluntary basis, but expenses will be reimbursed.


•Translating texts in order to update the Global Green’s website.
•Translating communication material such as newsletters, etc.
• Availability of four hours/week average

• Commitment to Green principles
•Ideally Brussels-based with fluent English and a good knowledge of French
•Available to start as soon as conveniently possible
